چکیده

Biochar, pumice, and mycorrhizae applications using direct testing methods in the field have not been widely carried out. The application of biochar this study was used as a conservation material to control runoff erosion. research conducted plot during peak rainy season (March-April) 2021. areas where soil is dominated by clay (>40%) steep slope angles (>60%). cropping pattern at site generally cassava dry corn season. Four 1 × 10 m plots with stands were prepared biochar, mycorrhizae, treatments. Runoff sediment measurements out calculating volume water suspension storage tank. effect three treatments observed measured through some characteristics such bulk density (BD), specific gravity (SG), porosity, organic matter content (OM), cation exchange capacity (CEC), aggregate stability. highest rainfall March April reached 441 mm/month, intensity reaching 150 mm/week. Under intense rainfall, provides better performance than pumice mycorrhizae. reduction from highest, 51.67%. On other hand, show lower effectivity decreasing 40.15% 37.92%, respectively. on lowering translates each ameliorant’s reducing loss. Biochar decreases loss 50.78%, while decrease 37.9% 26.26%. reduced rate erosion altering characteristics. BD SG same time increasing OM, CEC, changes provided can provide means both increase productivity.

Biochar Application Effects on Soil Phosphorus Sorption and Release

We investigated the effects of chromate (CrVI) and phosphate (P) on their uptake and translocation in As-hyperaccumulator Pteris vittata (PV). Plants were exposed to 1) 0.05 mM CrVI and 0, 0.05, 0.25 or 1.25 mM P or 2) 0.25 mM P and 0, 0.05, 0.25 or 1.25 mM CrVI for 24 h in hydroponics. PV accumulated 2,919 mg/kg Cr in the roots at CrVI0.05, and 5,100 and 3,500 mg/kg P in the fronds and roots a...

Impacts of Biochar on Physical Properties and Erosion Potential of a Mudstone Slopeland Soil

Food demand and soil sustainability have become urgent issues recently because of the global climate changes. This study aims to evaluate the application of a biochar produced by rice hull, on changes of physiochemical characteristics and erosion potential of a degraded slopeland soil. Rice hull biochar pyrolized at 400°C was incorporated into the soil at rates of 2.5%, 5%, and 10% (w/w) and wa...

Application of Polyacrylamide for Splash Erosion Control on Marl Soil

Splash erosion is recognized as the first stage in the process of erosion that results in bombardment of the soil's surface with rain drops. Two basic processes in soil erosion are the dispersement of soil particles by rain drops and the changes caused to the soil's structure, which are then moved by runoff. In this research, the effect of various polyacrylamide (PAM)values (0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 ...
